As a new update released today for Facebook, Reactions made a debut. The new way to like a post. It brings the original 'like," "love," "haha," "wow", "sad," and "angry" buttons.
Many Facebook users, including I, have been wanting a change, and we finally got our wish!
According to the Verge, "After more than a year in development, Facebook's expanded Like button "reactions" are now coming to a News Feed near you. For the first time, you'll be able to react to friends' posts with something other than a gesture of pure positivity."
Mark Zuckerberg states "Not every moment you want to share is happy. Sometimes you want to share something sad or frustrating. Our community has been asking for a dislike button for years, but not because people want to tell friends they don't like their posts. People wanted to express empathy and make it comfortable to share a wider range of emotions."
I like the update. However, I wished they would had brought the dislike button. I get tired of the same old Facebook, and I am glad there is a change. Hoping for many more to arise this year.
Head over to Facebook now and check them! How do you like the 'Reactions?' Do you like them? Do you want the dislike button?
