Bespoke Post is a monthly subscription box for men. Bespoke has themed limited-edition boxes, choice goods, and stories to help you make the most of it. Each month they assemble a themed collection of goods to create a box that upgrades your day-to-day. For club members, each Box of Awesome is $45 - no matter the contents. For those who are not club members, each box is $55. Bespoke also brings back items from the archive from time to time.
The Shine box, the one I got, is based on protection against the sun. "With the bright summer finally here, we channeled our best McQueen to bring you our favorite sun-blocking essentials."
At the time of opening the box, I was impressed! I liked the nice packaging and all the products inside.
So, what's in my Shine box?
Dharma Police Sunglasses with Microfiber Pouch
Line of Trade Sunglasses Case
Watermans Sunscreen Sample
The Dharma sunglasses was the reason I chose this box. I have never tried those, so I was excited.
Polarized Sunglasses, Dharma Eyewear Co. The squared take on a classic, wear-with-anything wayfarer shape means that these sun-fighting heavy hitters suit most any face. The construction is solid as a rock thanks to high-grade acetate and ion-plated metal, and pack shatter-proof, anti-scratch, UV-protection, polarized lenses (the mark of a quality pair). The glasses came with a microfiber pouch that will keep your shades clean and those lenses looking crystal clear. Dimensions of sunglasses are: 54mm-17mm-145mm. 54 refers to the width of each 'lens cutout', 17 refers to the bridge width, 145 refers to the temple (arm) width
Dharma glasses are wanderful! These are no way like a cheap pair at your closest Dollar Store. They look and feel expensive. My favorite part is the lenses. They have a nice color to them when you look through. The rim is like the stone "Cat's Eye" if you have seen one. The microfiber case is like anyother one there is. Nothing special about it other than their website and logo.
The Line of Trade case is fine. I am very glad they added this to the box.
Custom Leather Case, Line of Trade Your new shades (or any others you want to protect) fit snugly inside for protection against scratched lenses and bent frames. The leather was custom made in the USA by S.B. Foot Tanning Co., the same guys behind tough-as-nails Red Wing boots. It's got a full and natural grain that’s dyed with durable color and then oiled to a perfect texture. When you pull up on the surface, the leather gets lighter in that area as a result of the oils migrating. It's the look of well-crafted stuff, so get ready for compliments once it comes out of your bag.
This leather case is nothing like I've had in the past. I had a plastic case, so this is much different. I liked the case. However, I personally think it could be just a little bigger, so the glasses would fit better. I love the fact that the cases are made in the USA!
The Watermans' lip balm was a great added surprize to the box.
SPF 30+, Watermans A broad-spectrum, UVA and UVB protectant Lip Balm. This very water resistant formula, fortified with Aloe Vera and Vitamin E, helps protect and heal your lips from the effects of a life in the sun. Safe for daily use. Apply wet or dry. Menthol, camphor and phenol free.
This chapstick was really good. I like it. The best part about it is that there is no bad taste. I know you are not supposed to lick it, but I do. And most lip balms are terrible. I like that it has a SPF 30+ too.
Bespoke Post is a great monthly box for any man. But, is it worth the $45 or $55? I say yes! Or at least the Shine box was. If you add all the prices up, it comes to a total of $141.95. They claim the boxes are worth more than what you pay, but I'll leave it to you to decide. Also, you can skip any boxes that you don't want. If you forget to skip one, contact Bespoke, and they'll help you.
